During the month of May we will be collecting the following items for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry:
Golden Oaks - Thursday, May 24th
The Golden Oaks will be going to Mayfield Dairy Farm. The bus will leave at 10:00 AM. We will be touring the Mayfield Factory and will get ice cream at the end of the tour. The cost will be $3.50 per person. We will stop on our way back and have lunch. There is a sign-up sheet in the vestibule. Please signup and put the flavor of ice cream you want under tour scoop beside your name. Just bring your $3.50 the day of the trip and give it to Betty Shumer. We must turn in a head count to Mayfield's by May 21st. If you have any questions, please see Betty Shumer. Everyone is welcome to go.
Golden Oaks - Thursday, June 14th
The Golden Oaks will be going to the Cumberland Playhouse to see "Smoke on the Mountain and have lunch afterwards at Homestead Harvest Restaurant at Cumberland Mountain State Park. The Playhouse tickets will be $28 each or $25 each if we have 10 or more to attend. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. You must sign-up by May 20th so we will have a head count to order tickets. Everyone is welcome.

Mission Project for April and May
We are collecting cleaning items for Haven House in Blount County. Haven House's mission is to save and change lives through the intervention and prevention of domestic violence by offering 24 hour shelter and crisis hotline, support services, youth programs and community awareness. The organization has been in existence in our community for over 35 years. Items needed include: mops, brooms, Pine Sol, hand soap, dish detergent, laundry pods, etc. A representative from Haven House will be speaking at our next mission night on Wednesday, May 2nd.
